Product Focus Strategy

The product focused strategy is usually use in manufacturing. The product is produced in large quantity but small variety. It needs the special purpose equipment that mean higher in capital investment so the cost of the product will up to the utilization of the equipment.
In production process, it is easy to plan and control because we know exactly, in each station, how long does it take? And how many items that we can produce per day?
A skilled labor is unnecessary because there is just a few work order and job instruction.
